Ok, it just can’t be me that’s noticed this, I just had to write a quick blog about the seemingly unstoppable epidemic of Dandelions that we are having this year. As I was driving through the fields of Innisfil this afternoon glancing to my right and left the grass appeared to be bathed in a yellow glow. It certainly wasn’t the glow from the setting sun, no, something far far more sinister, DANDELIONS, millions of them.

It seems that the lack of pesticides being sprayed on our fields and lawns is allowing a resurgent bright yellow flower to gain a major

All cheer….YEEAAAHHH, the recession is over, the wicked witch of the manufacturing layoffs is dead and we can all go on spending again….Or can we? In this post we examine some of the recent trends in the Barrie real estate market and try to identify what’s really happening, or more importantly what’s around the corner.

A quick revisit into recent history; In August 2008 the Barrie real estate market peaked after a reasonably healthy start to the year. The average price of homes in the area was approx $259,000. The storm clouds were hovering south of the border as USA sub prime lending spiralled out of control and eventually imploded, taking with it several large US investment banks. The world held its breath and in Barrie,

Ladies Only – Self defence class

Hello all,

I hope you are all well, apologies if I haven’t personally seen you in the last few months. With Caroline studying for her Real Estate license it’s been rather strained on the free time, managing the children and maintaining service to our active clients, however, as Caroline is now a licensed Realtor I look forward to seeing you all again soon. As part of our continued service to you, we like to bring some extra value or service from time to time. Some of you may know that our family is fairly well entwined with the Lewis Karate School in Barrie. Unfortunately the world we live in, isn’t always as safe as we would all like, and in particular ladies are prone to unwanted attention.

It’s better to know self defense and not need it than to need self defense and not know it ! Read the rest of this entry

So what is ‘Investment Real Estate’? Read the rest of this entry

Soooo Proud to be a Canadian

Yeahhh… Way to go Sidney Crosby. As a British immigrant to Canada, I can honestly say that I am standing here with tears in my eyes as I witness probably one of the greatest hockey games I have ever seen. This ranks right up there with major English international soccer games, I feel so proud to call myself a Canadian, way to go Canada. 14 Gold medals, a world record and what a way to finish it off.  Let’s not take it away from Team USA for making it such a great game. Without a good opponent, great teams just look ordinary, thank you USA and way to go TEAM CANADA……Yeahh…..   Read the rest of this entry
